Oil cooler thermostat for BMW 2V Boxer Airheads

This oil filter cover with integrated thermostat fits all BMW 2v Boxer Engines.

The original oil pipes and screws can still be used.

The thermostat regulates the temperature of the engine oil. It starts to open at 90°C/194°F and reaches the fully open position at 95°C/204°F.

The Engine reaches normal operating temperature faster, especially on cold days.

Made in Germany.

RS, RT models:
Depending on the year of manufacture, other hoses may be necessary.

The Monolever RS and RT Models up to the modelyear 1988 (build before August 1987) may need different hoses since the original hoses in combination with this thermostat may touch the header pipe.
